Don't rant, I know this is off topic. I have a problem with the "Download Full Installer" app. A download of 15.7.1 stopped at 16 GB, and now my macOS partition only shows 26 GB because the downloaded 16 GB is still taking up space. Question: Where does the "Download Full Installer" save the downloads? I go to Users/Library/Application Support and I don't see anything about the "Download Full Installer." Thanks for the quick tip. I want to install 15.7.1 Sequoia on another Mac today. Thanks for the unfriendly non-help... but I found it myself ?

Sorry @MaLd0n Still the same issue with the above EFI. Exactly the same problem. I am beginning to think this generation of chipset has trouble with > 16GB (which is not logical). Same happens when trying with Sonoma. I will try upgrading from Ventura using the Apple package but it is really a concern if I don't have a back up boot USB.

You dont need to rename anything Put Xcode 16 in a folder like this Open Applications Xcode 26 ? Settings ? Locations ? Command Line Tools ? Choose the Xcode 16.4 (16F6) You can change to Xcode 26 anytime

I came up with another way. I just renamed it to Xcode16.4 and before compilation I rename the required one in Xcode.

I need my hackbook in the next few days to process the pressing items on my to-do list. Once that's done I can tackle the update.

Works? If yes, enjoy it

Gotcha @Max.1974 ?

Hi @BuXb With VoodooHDA, there¡¯s no need to remove it ¡ª just reinstall the patch if it¡¯s not recognized, but it usually doesn¡¯t lose functionality. If necessary, simply run the installation script again. You can use this commands from Terminal after upgrade: sudo chmod -Rf 755 /L*/E* sudo chown -Rf 0:0 /L*/E* sudo touch -f /L*/E* sudo chmod -Rf 755 /S*/L*/E* sudo chown -Rf 0:0 /S*/L*/E* sudo touch -f /S*/L*/E* sudo kextcache -Boot -U / sudo kextutil -v /Library/Extensions/VoodooHDA.kext sudo kextload /Library/Extensions/VoodooHDA.kext After reboot you can test: log show --last boot | grep -i voodoo One by One
-
Anybody here already updated to 26.0.1? If so, did you have to remove VoodooHDA from /L/E/ for the update to run through, or could it remain?

@Austere.J and/or anyone else that tested the kext in Tahoe: will the kext work in Tahoe with VT-D enabled in BIOS but patching the DMAR table to remove reserved regions and dropped the original DMAR table as explained in Dortania. Right now, that's the only way my i-225V ethernet card works in Tahoe. AppleIGC kext does not work in Tahoe with VT-D enabled in BIOS.

Thank you very much. I'm already downloading it, but how can I prevent it from updating? So far I can say that it builds with Python 3.13.7 + Xcode_26.0.1 and Python 3.9 + Xcode_15.3 ?

The one thing I am apprehensive about is the possibility of AirDrop not working as reported hence the reason I was holding off. Having Wi-Fi working on the others in the system and not Tahoe, twisted my arm to go this route.

I'm sure it works for you. We tried it with a user on macOS86 with BCM943602CS ( mine is BCM4350 0x14E4, 0x43A3 ? ) and it worked... we need to solve the LAN problem.

If you trust me, this file is the zip downloaded directly from Apple¡¯s developer website. If you can¡¯t access it: https://www.mediafire.com/file/it564ypd8q5wava/Xcode_16.4-melhor.xip/file

maybe you'll have to walk the debug way? DW1820A should be supported... I also used a DW1820A in the past, and I remember that my card was so problematic: sometimes it was somehow "blocked" and only worked again after I completely turned off the power to my laptop (with also disconnecting the battery) - doesn't mean that this could be the case for you

I am in the process of trying this to get WIFI on Tahoe. I have ordered a supposedly compatible BCM943602CS Card and PCIe adapter. I am hoping after putting it all together, it will be just a matter of plug and play like the Fenvi. I made a promise I wouldn't spend any unnecessary money on the Hack being as this is the last macOS for us but here we are.

I checked everything four times and found no errors or warnings. I was unable to obtain Xcode 16 legally. Thank you and good luck! Official instructions: Build Clover on macOS Tahoe 26 from scratch. ? Install Xcode 26 or Xcode 16, Make sure you open Xcode then Install additional required components. ? Install Python 3.11.5 or Python 3.13.7 [?] ?? Clone and Build Clover rm -rf ~/src mkdir -p ~/src cd ~/src git clone https://github.com/CloverHackyColor/CloverBootloader.git cd ~/src/CloverBootloader && ./buildme buildme Option:?? 1 build Clover (Default Toolchain) 2 make pkg No other methods are discussed or supported by the authors and no claims will be accepted.

Setting DisableIoMapper to true disables AppleVTD. (But AppleVTD is required for the Intel i225-V ethernet DriverKit, although there¡¯s a workaround for this - using the old AppleIntelI210Ethernet.kext from Monterey.) So can you confirm if you have AppleVTD enabled (you can check in the IORegistryExplorer) and working Wi-Fi in Sequoia at the same time? Is this issue only affecting Tahoe?
